Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Our Curriculum 2010-11

Last year as a first-time homeschooler, I was not comfortable creating my own curriculum for Joshua's kindergarten year. I chose to go with Sonlight Core K because I wanted to have something planned out for me. We really enjoyed it and will most likely go back to it in the future when all the children are a little older. This year I'm feeling more confident about planning, so I decided to dig in and do some research on other curricula out there. I found the book 100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum to be of great help, but most of my choices came from suggestions from other homeschool bloggers. We use our own version of the workbox system, which I've written about here, and the Homeschool Tracker Plus software to keep organized.

Everyone

           Big Truths for Little Kids
Science - My own plan of unit studies and weekly experiments using former Sonlight books and library books.
